GBH – Punk’s not dead! I will do no manners, I will do simple… It was a killer sold out show of GBH at Henry Fonda Theater on Sept 13, 2014 and people of all ages and genders packed the venue to capacity.

GBH is touring North America to promote their recent album Perfume and Piss, their 11th studio album, released by HellCat Records. Front man Colin Abrahall, Colin “Jock” Blythe on guitar, Ross Lomas on bass, and drummer Scott Preece. burned the stage! The set list consisted of tracks from the new album as well. As expected, highlights include classics like, “Give Me Fire” “Sick Boy” “City Baby ” and “Big Women”.

The bands opening were, 5th Wave who played a timid short “SkaCore” set and The Adolescents (legendary local punk band) that I highly recommend. (Reminded me of some Jay Reatard goodies.)

So, GBH punk veterans and creator of the Punk Core sound for “street punks” still muscles! What to tell more than that, this punk band has been on the road for 30 years without decreasing energy. They never stop, they continue to play live and make records. It’s what we now call an “Old School” punk band! And the crowd is presente, GBH official Facebook page has 184,113 likes! Voila, Punk’s not dead!

One more thing, I saw a great book in circulation in some good hands backstage. Henry Kruschev recommens everyone to read “City Baby” by Ross Lomas (GBH Bass player.
