I have become very disgusted with the music here in the armpit. Hence the lack of writing. I have been on a very long, and to be continued hiatus from the clubs here. I have just had enough of the metal bands that all sound the same and take up the entire room with their egos.

Thats not why I am writing. I am just letting all you know why I haven't done anything....as if you care.

So here ya go....Remember the BulletBoys?

Well they just wound up a short little tour in a podunk town in the armpit called Woodward. Woodward, surprisingly enough has a crazy little bar called City Limits. It’s an amazing venue. Funny thing is that none of the inner town locals know where this place is. But you get on the outskirts of town and there ya go.

Well come to find out my dear friend Tory Soffrengen was filling in on guitar with them. You might remember Tory from my 2 reviews of his band The Black Mollys. And to add a little icing to the cake I am very good friends with their tour manager Mark Rojas. So I had to go out there. A 2 hour drive to a town that has more hotels than gas stations, and an overly religious woman running the hotel I stayed at who's updo looked like she was wearing a basket on her head.

So anyways, I didn't know what to expect. A band that alot of people consider a one hit wonder in a speck in the armpit. How good can it be right? Let me tell you they were unbelievable. I don't remember the songlist and in all reality I didn't think to get one when I was there. I was so caught up in the atmosphere, music and friends.

Marq Torien, in my personal opinion has grown up ALOT. He doesnt have the 'rockstar' persona you would think or that he had back in the day. He played pool, talked to everyone and said thank you to just about everyone that was there. But one thing I can say is that he was and still is an amazing singer and guitar player. The line up he had for this show exuded an energy you rarely see anymore. What do I mean? Well look at it like this....these guys all have their own thing going doing whatever else it happens to be. But they got together not only as professionals but friends, put a tour together and brought it. They smiled, they played and they rocked. You could tell that they were having so much fun. When the show was over they brought to fun to the floor and mixed and mingled.

The line up for this little tour includes Marq Torien vocals and guitar, Ryche Green on drums, Tory Soffrengen on guitar, and Rob Layne on bass. Some of the guys have other gigs going on as well. Tory is back out on tour now with Enuff Z Nuff and Rob is in Europe with Drugdealer Cheerleader. So be sure to check them out if you get the chance.

This is short but sweet I know. But let me tell you, don't write the BulletBoys off. They are actually better than they ever were. You would be a fool to miss a show if they are playing close by in the near future.

Vix in the armpit once again signing off... "Peace Fuckers!"
