Hello Hilda,

1. Please give us a short introduction about your band and describe your musical style first!

Hilda: The band is a rock n roll animal influenced by the best hard rock, glam, punk, and metal from the last 4 decades. We don't have a label unless you can quote `unfuckingbelievable´ as a new musical genre...

2. Is there any band out there where you would say... we maybe sound like them ... any band where you think you can compare DDCL with?

Hilda: There's a lot of influences as I said like Guns `n` Roses, ACDC, New York Dolls, Stooges, The Clash, Green Day, I could go on... As for who do we actually sound like..... well that's for you and your readers to decide.

3.Why did you choose Drugdealer Cheerleader as your bands name?

Hilda: Ringo (drummer) chose the name - he had a bizarre dream about a psychotic Cheerleader who injected her cheerleader palls so that they all looked out of it and she would look great... The film is coming out in 2008.

4.Who are the composers in DDCL?

Hilda: We all have an equal share in the compositions. Generally one or two of us will come up with an idea and we then jam through the basic song as a band. I write most of the lyrics and melodies these days but basically whoever comes up with the best line gets it... All our songs are credited to Drugdealercheerleader. Always have and always will be. We are a gang!

5. Tell us something about your concert on 1st April 2006 Barfly, Chalk Farm Rd, Camden Town, London. How many people came to see you? And have you had a rocking aftershow party, too?

Hilda: Well the place was packed - probably our best headline show so far. Lot`s of familiar faces and lots of new guys and gorgeous girls getting into the show. We had 2 of our cheerleaders at the front gyrating and performing - absolute mayhem - just the way we like it! The aftershow was actually in the venue - after we finished the venue turned into a club so we partied all night long... very messy.... very fun!

6. What are your future plans with Drugedealer Cheerleader?

Hilda: We have our debut single out in July through Pebble Beach Records (distributed by Pinnacle). A song called I don't wanna go to school and a B-side of `Try to be me `. The tunes sound amazing and I can't wait for people to hear them. You'll be able to buy them in Europe via download from itunes and lot of other sites but the actual CD is only on sale in the UK (so far!). We'll be out on a month long tour of the UK to support the single then a couple of festival shows and who knows ... maybe some European dates in the late Summer! After we have a 2nd single coming out and hopefully an album...

7. Did you get many new fans via Myspace? I think it's a great place for making new fans and friends in the whole world! Also I think it's very cool that you are doing this site on your own and not by any manager or any other person!

Hilda: Thanks!!! Well we have a lot of people supporting us and helping out - it's hard but we totally believe in what we're doing. Myspace has helped by making some of our music available to people who may never have heard us. We've had amazing feedback so far and without it... we'd never have been able to talk to you Susi!!

8. I have heard that your debut album isn't already released or distributed but some labels have the verge of doing this. Is this still in the working? Are there any news so far?

Hilda: We hada deal on the table a little while ago but it wasn't the terms we felt were right for us. We're aware of some labels looking at us at the moment but for now we're concentrating on our single through Pebble Beach. The guys at Pinnacle have been great and totally support what we're trying to do... when it's released no doubt we'll have an avalanche of major labels wining and dining us... which is OK by me.

9. Your merchandise Site isn't online yet, when will it be launched? And what do you offer to your fans?

Hilda: At the moment the only merch you can buy is at our shows - T-shirts with the band logo on the front and either "Drugdealer" or "Cheerleader" on the back. Once the single is out we hope to have an online shop where you can order the record or t-shirts. We're also looking into other stuff like badges, knickers, hoodies etc.

10. Also I know you like to come over to Germany. Have you got any favorite places here where you would say "yes I like to play there"?

Hilda: We just wanna get out and play as many places as possible. We have some friends in Germany and we know we'll go down a storm over there. Germany has not seen a band like Drugdealercheerleader since Guns `n` Roses first came over... it's going to be ermmm `eventful`. Berlin is the obvious place but I´ll play anywhere so long as there's an audience that will listen and rock out. One piece of advice though.... If I was a guy out there though I wouldn't let my girlfriend attend the show on her own....

11. Now on to some none band related things... Which is your favorite alcoholical drink?

Hilda: I love all alcohol... but my favorites are: Single Malt whiskies, Bourbon (Jack Daniels), Red wine, Brandy, Guinness.. aah fuck it, the list is endless. If it's free Ill drink it!

12. Which are your idols?

Hilda: I have a few, Freddie Mercury, Bruce Dickinson, Dave Lee Roth...

13. Now please send a big hello and a message out to all your fans...

Hilda: Guys, if you've not had the pleasure of seeing us yet I promise we'll make it up to you. Make sure you come to the shows with lots of energy and we'll match you all the way. Finally, remember to have a good time all the time and don't let bastards grind you down! We love you. X

Thank you very much for this interview again! Keep the UK rocking and come over to Germany soon! Have a rocking time and keep in touch, best wishes,

Susi

Hilda: I love you too Susi - hope to see you very soon!
