The night starts off great with some quick food after work . I get to my apartment excited for the evenings festivities, because tonight's EF!!!! The Viper already has people outside as I'm driving by looking for a spot, Bingo $7 parking in like flinn. I rush myself because I don't want to miss the first band ( The Bourbon Saints ), they have been gaining some ground here in LA .They recently played a great set at The Key Club on January 21st opening for Metal Skool.

I get in just as BS is starting there 1st song. Upstairs the Viper has a lot of people already there. As suspected, BS puts on one HELL OF A GOOD SHOW!!! Their Full Throttle approach to their music and fun time attitude on stage is quickly putting them in the races for gaining a lot of fans rapidly, as well as putting them at the front of the ever growing Rock scene here in LA.

Next up the LA Slum Lords.Off the bat I noticed a line up change, new drummer and the guitarist and bass player exchanged roles. Good job for what I believe is there 2nd show with this line up.

Up next trashy rock kids ADHD give the crowd the shot in the arm they need to get em going. Currently they are on tour with EF . Mikey B. makes the front man job look easy with his cool man chops and fist raisin attitude! These guys like to have fun and it shows. Thanx for keeping the music real.

ELECTRIC FUCKING FRANKENSTEIN !!!! These Vets start there set off with a punch in the face of there high energy punk rock and roll and never let up the punching. Fifteen years of touring has made this outfit a rock machine that continues to work with no signs of stopping. Sal Canzonieri, EF's right hand man has made a great contribution to the rock scene over the years with his persistence to bring great music to the people. Just listening to him one can easily hear the passion in his voice as he tells you about projects he has going.

Their set contained classic EF songs like "Get off My Back", "Demolition", "Joyride" as well as new ones from Burn Bright Burn Fast, their recent release on TKO Records. Some of my favorites, "Speed Girl", "Dead On Beauty", and their excellent version of AC/DC's "High Voltage" got me supercharged and ready to take on the world!! These guys brought the ROCK-N-ROLL sermon to the VIPER ROOM tonight and preached it like Moses on the mount!!!

If you were not at this show....shame on you.. you missed one of the highlights of this years rock shows. Check out these bands here...
