The Notorious 80’s rock band Motley Crue held a press conference at The Avalon in Hollywood on April 15th to announce their plans for Crue Fest. Dubbed "The Loudest Show on Earth," Crue Fest will of course feature Motley Crue as the headlining act, as well as fellow rockers, Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Nikki Sixx’s other project, Sixx: A.M. and alternative rock band Trapt.
Motley Crue treated fans and the press to a two-song set, consisting of: Kickstart My Heart, and the title track off of the new album entitled, Saints Of Los Angeles. (release date: June 17th) " While the latter starts off recalling The Crue of old, the new song quickly jump kicks into the present with a little help from Josh Todd of Buckcherry, Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach, James Michael from Sixx: A.M. and Chris Brown from Trapt who provide background vocals on the track and who eventually joined the band on stage for the finale of the song.
During the press conference, original band mates Tommy Lee, Mick Mars, Vince Neil and Nikki Sixx also answered a few questions to the press and true to form, the band let it be known that this tour is going to be all about rock ‘n roll and all that it entails. Hopefully this transpires into something like an Ozzfest that carries over for years and years !! .
Says Nikki Sixx Of Motley Crue, "We are excited not only to headline our own annual summer festival, but we’re also excited about sharing the stage with the next generation of great rock bands." Saying this festival is going to be about rock n roll excess, is and understatement. Crue Fest promises to be a night of hit songs, by great bands leaving a trail of panties from coast to coast …Crue Fest, is gonna kick nuclear ass !,
