For those who like their rock’n’ roll heavy and guitar-driven(Guns ‘n Roses come to mind!) with melodic vocals, think Torpedohead from Germany!

Although their sound may recall an ‘80’s feel, Torpedohead have something special and a decidedly addictive sound about them. In their CD debut, Lovesick Avenue, the band sings about screwed-up relationships, sex, love, and lust…or in a word: Girls!. Perfect Rock’n’Roll themes!

Sven’s slightly raspy vocals along with Hardy’s backing vocals harmonize nicely throughout their disc making it all the more enjoyable…while Stephan’s drumming can’t help but get one moving back and forth! You gotta give this a listen if only to hear their cover of Elvis’ “Burning Love”, the CD’s closing track!

Favorite tracks: Wall of Love, Broken Flowers, and The Devil Inside Her Eyes and Love Rocket. It’s difficult to pick favorites though, ‘cos they are all so, so good.

After an opening slot for the New York Dolls in their homeland, can the “Big Time” be far behind? Methinks it’s only a matter of time.
