Formed in 1979 in Leamington Spa; these punk rock stalwarts have been plugging away at their trade long before any Stink-182 or Groin Day. Pretty boy pretend punkers were still swimming around in their daddy’s bollocks and one hand stroke away from ending up in a piece of Kleenex.

Varukers are essentially led by founding member “Rat”(vocals) and a revolving door of different cast members.

If you are looking for catchy melodies and pretend angst than you are barking up the wrong pair of bondage trousers. If you want something raw, politically, socially charged and fuelled on beer and cider than you can pay homage to the Varukers.

A bowler hat should be tipped to these fine gents for persevering through thick and thin.
Twenty-Five years of pure punk rock aggression and not falling off that path is no easy accomplishment. This SOS records compilation collects the alcohol-fuelled highs of a band still going strong today
