He tweeted, texted and told people with his pie hole. Jonny Law is passionate about his band and smart with his phone. When Warner Drive does a show, the whole damn world is put on notice.

Packed to the rafters, tonight's show at the Roxy is going to be good. Quite a swanky crowd indeed.

Opening for The Drive was Brett Hellings and his band, The Nasty Souls. This funky fivesome has been playing their brains out all over Hollywood. They bring a sweet hybrid of classic hippie-blues rock and 80s hair band with a slam-bang glam delivery.

Hellings is a verrrry flashy front man with a lot of punch and personality. Great back up band too. He picked good. The rest of The Nasty Souls are: Matty D and Dustin James on guitars, Jeff Turpin playing bass and Luis Herrera beating the drums

The primary purpose for tonight’s show at the Roxy is for Johnny Law and Warner Drive to launch their CD Release Tour of their latest release: K-GO! Love this title (and featured song). A perfect reflection of this band's unbridled energy and the complete abandon they bring to the stage. With quick sweep of the Utah, AZ and New Mexico, Warner Drive has it’s own South by Southwest thang going on.

The WD’s excellent set included their signature song celebrating the other club down the street; “One Night at The Viper Room,” a serious rock anthem. Delivering clean hard rock with punk paraphernalia, the band is: Jonny Law, the clear leader does the vocals with Albert Winkler and Candice Levinson slicing the guitars, Elvis James provides the bottom on bass and the other Jonny U plays drums.
