| 8. WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE LIVE AND IN THE STUDIO? RJ - I use a big blue megaphone. Or at least I did until I tossed it across the stage and broke it. Don’t ask me about technical stuff, I just shout the words. M – I play a battered Telecaster, some of the screws have fallen out and it's held together entirely by tape. I run it through an overdrive pedal and a delay. I also use an mp3 player for the samples. A - I play a bass found in my mum's attic 10 years ago (the reason I started playing) with a rainbow coloured strap. D - I use a dented drum kit and severely knackered set of cymbals. I like the sound it all makes when I kick it off stage. 9. SPEAKING OF STUDIOS, WHERE WAS YOUR LATEST DEMO/CD RECORDED? RJ - In a converted shed behind a hairdressers in a small village outside Cambridge. M - Zoo Audio, Milton. www.zooaudio.co.uk by Andy Cross. He did a grand job, we'll be returning to him soon. A - Dave was actually locked away in a separate room with his drums. A good thing for both sanity and the ears. D - It was so relaxed we did pretty much everything in one take. Come on. 10. DO YOU KNOW WHERE SYD BARRETT LIVES? RJ - Yes, I do. I’m not telling though. M – Everyone in Cambridge knows where he lives. A - I used to think Syd Barrett was this pissed bloke who turns up at every gig in Cambridge with his carrier bag. This guy turned up at one of ours once and declared after one of our numbers `This used to be a jazz club'. Nice. D - He lives round the corner from my house. I have no desire to go and pester him; the man is clearly not well. This doesn't stop dozens of Pink Floyd fans though - they stalk him relentlessly. |

| 11. IS PUNK STILL DANGEROUS? RJ - Music – not just “punk” – can be and is dangerous when it says what people would rather you didn’t hear. When it harnesses discontent and gives it a voice and a focus. It’s not about bullshit posturing and swigging JD from the bottle or whatever. M – Does the Pope shit in the woods? A - A lot of what's referred to as punk is bollocks. 12. HAS VIOLENCE BECOME A PROBLEM AT YOUR LIVE SHOWS? RJ - Only the self-inflicted sort. Drummer boy Dave Scrotum is always spraying blood from his shredded hands and our old guitarist, Dangerous Dan, concussed himself diving head first into a wall. M - We have a tendency to chuck stuff about. At one gig a singer from another band tore a projector off the ceiling of the venue, the law turned up and carted him away. We got some great photos. A - Only of the aural variety. |

| 13. IF YOU WERE FORCED TO STOP CREATING YOUR ART TOMORROW, WHAT WOULD HAPPEN? RJ - We would fade away into the background and continue to live our lives of quiet desperation. Until we died, obviously. Then we’d be dead. M – I’d move to France. A - It would be on a par with being forced to move back to Swindon. D - I would slowly reverse my car off a pier while listening to Holidays in the Sun. |

| 15. ANY TOUR PLANS IN THE WORKS? RJ - At the moment we are just playing whenever and wherever we can. Everywhere in England can be reached in under a day by car from where we live. Anyone want to offer us an all expenses paid trip to the US of A? How about a record deal? M – We’d like to sort something out soon, we're open to suggestions. |

| 16. WHY SHOULD PEOPLE LISTEN TO BOMB FACTORY? RJ - They should listen because we really do ROCK, because we actually have something to say and because we say it without being po-faced twats. M - We'll get you angry about all the shit that's going on around you and make you want to do something about it. And you’ll have a fucking good time doing it too. D - Because we've got something to say. A - See above. You'll either love it or really fucking hate it. 17. ANY LAST WORDS FOR THE MASSES? RJ - This is what’s happening now. This is the vicious mind fuck of the future spewing out of your television. This is Huxley, Orwell, Debord. This is the global, perma-war nightmare, the cynical control of the people through terror and mass hypnosis. Welcome to the coliseum of hate and fake, stage-managed “reality”.
