| Cocktail Slippers are Lisa Farfisa, Tammy Sticks, Rocket Queen and Sugar Cane. These Scandinavian babes dazzled the Underground Garage with their music and their especially outfits; white jumpsuits with gold fringe. Elvis would be proud. Fest founder, Steven Van Zant (The E Street Band, The Sopranos) had picked up their hot CD while touring Europe and booked them as one of the forty bands that carry on the real sound of rock. The Nordic ladies were delighted. They packed their bags and left Oslo, Norway for the Big Apple Pancake. |

| Caught in the crowd after their short set, we caught up with the Cocktail Slippers enjoying the show. Relaxing and like all Euro’s, they smoke, except for the very pregnant Rocket Queen. | Sugarbuzz: No, I’m Victoria. Lucky stayed home in LA. And Lucky is a guy! Tammy: Ohh, we didn’t know. We love Sugarbuzz. Sugarbuzz: Having fun? Lisa, Tammy: Yeah. Sugarbuzz: Is this your first time in the US? Sugar Cane: Yes, first time. Sugarbuzz: How long has the band been together? Tammy: Two and half years. Sugarbuzz: Who are your biggest influences? Who do you love? Sugar Cane: Hmmm, Bowie, MC5, the Ramones. But mostly Iggy! Sugarbuzz: Is it tough being an all-girl band? Tammy: We’re not always welcomed at first. But now is now difference. Sugarbuzz: Yeah, a lot of the bands here today, have women. Tammy: There is one other all girl band here today, The Gore Gore Girls. Sugarbuzz: Ooops, we missed them. Are you here just for this show? Sugar Cane: Yeah. Sugarbuzz: So, you’re heading back right after? Tammy: Yeah. Sugarbuzz: When are you due? (to the very pregnant Rocket Queen ) Rocket Queen: 3 Months. Sugarbuzz: Omigod, good luck. We left these fabulous beauties as they continued to smoke, pose for pictures with fans, sign autographs, eat Dunkin Donuts and slurp Lattes.
