| Three things we know about High Speed Scene:
1. Since we first met them a year and a half ago they have done very well. 2. Adam has a thing about upper case letters. 3. They still rock. OK, lemme see. It was at the ultra cool Silver Lake Lounge, right there on the stage that has “SALVATION” in electric lights that we first met Adam Aronson, Max Hart and Domen Vajevek. Must be something to that. The coolest radio station in America (Indie 103, so says Rolling Stone) is regularly playing “We Do It for the Kids” not just as a song, it’s the unofficial anthem. They are getting ready to do a Summer tour with N*E*R*D of the Midwest in July and August. Go, Speed Scene-ster, go! Go, Speed Scene-ster, go! |

| Now here are twenty more things we know about them:
1. What exactly do you do for the Kids? Max: Everything, whether it is driving for miles in a smelly van or a basement show with a questionable PA and beer sloshing all over us, to putting out the most kick ass rock record ever, to writing the songs themselves -- we don't do this to get rich, to get laid, to massage our fragile egos, we do it cuz we feel it. We do it for the kids. adam: agreed. keep in mind that "the kids" is not a demographic it's a state of mind Domen: Delivering quality Rock since 2001. |

| 2. How cool is it to have a hit song on the radio? Max: Pretty bad ass. I will be driving around in my crappy little 86 Toyota Camry, feeling like LA is a cold heartless town, and then our song will come on, and I smile, cuz now I own a little piece of this town. adam: we have a hit song on the radio?? 3. Who wrote “Kids?” Max: I did. With lyrical help from Cole Porter. That's a joke... Domen: I love the Cole Porter inspired line " Don't go and pour that Listerine into that bong" |

4. Any tours or other club dates on the calendar? Max: Viper Room, June 28. Come see the hallowed stretch of sidewalk where RP bought the farm. adam: lest we forget about July with N.E.R.D. and other dates on our own around the country 5. Recording/studio plans? Max: We are finishing mixing our record right now. But we never rest on our laurels, we are always recording, we got a few tricks up our sleeves... 6. How has technology changed the way you feel about music? Can an MP3 have the same emotional effect as vinyl? Magnetic tape? Max: Any recording, on down to wax cylinder, is only a representation of what is essentially a live medium. And with overdubbing, music now is an idealized representation of a song. There are no sacred cows, as far as I'm concerned. Who cares whether the song is on MP3/LP/8-track, my only question is -- Does it Rock? Domen: Personally, nothing beats my wax cylinder collection 7. Does LA have a strong artistic community for music/musicians? Max: I love the LA scene, it has a nice combination of competition and support in the music scene. And make no mistake, we got great bands here. Shouts out to the Vacation, Telecast, Moving Units, Kennedy, etc. Domen: LA has got it all...amazing talent and amazing crap 8. Your greatest gig? Max: A basement in Reno. A bunch crusty kids with Filth and Born Against patches, spikes, Mohawks, all dancing and screaming along with our new wave stylings... adam: too many great ones to single any out...crappiest one is a lot easier to recount, but will spare that tale |
