| Hello Stone Legacy, I have got some questions for you! So let us start with them now: 1.This is not a question - this one is to introduce your band to all the metal heads out there. K.J.: Hello everyone, This is KJ Kazlaw of Stone Legacy. Let me as in return.. how the hell are YOU 2. Formerly your bands name was "Steel Vengeance". Why did you have to change the name? K.J.: Legal Reasons actually, James Murphy who is producing our Album at the moment informed us that there was a band in 1985 with that name. Even though that band is long gone, and no where to be found, we were advised it would be in our best interest to change the name so it wouldn't come back to haunt us later. 3.Well, your drummer Tim Lau is also your producer and that is a good thing I think. So are you producing the debut all by yourself? And by the way... I think that Tim Lau sounds like a German name by the way... K.J.: Hahha... not sure if it's german or not. All we know is that he looks like Getty Lee. As far as producing goes. Tim did the actual Tracking for the upcoming CD, James Murphy (EX Testament, Obituary, Death Guitarist) is doing all our mixing, mastering, and fully producing our next "few" CD`s. 4.There are a few cool samples on your page. Could you tell us what the songs are all about, please? K.J.: Hmmmmm... I dunno really. My half brother (Curry Russell) writes all the vocal parts and I write all the music parts. Some of the songs are self explainitory. Some of them, I have no idea where he's coming from. He just runs with it, and the arrangements of his vocals always sound great, so I've never really been concerned with the content. 5. What are your plans for 2006? Could you already tell us something about your debut CD "Ride of the immortals"? How far is it yet? K.J.: We replaced Aruon Torelli with our first guitarist, Pat Crane... so as luck would have it. The album was completed when Aruon and the band departed ways...but we obviously have to re-record his parts, and this shouldn't take too long. 6. I really love the design of your homepage. It is really cool and metal style and very professional. K.J., how long did it take to design this? K.J.: I'm a web designer by trade...so it really wasn't too difficult... just some basic knowledge of Flash MX and dreamweaver... Thanks for noticing! 7.What`s the heavy metal scene like over there in Florida - please describe it to us in a few sentences. Which are your heroes in your local scene? K.J.: WE have no hero`s here... and we refuse to play here. We would prefer to play over there in DE and the rest of Europe... Florida is nothing but trend metal garbage. 8. Now I want to know what your favorite bands/musicians/actors are. And what are your fave German bands...We really want to know that because loads of Americans only like/know Rammstein... So what about you? K.J.: Easy answer... Primal Fear, Metalium, Accept, Destruction, Kreator and Classic Scorps...I DESPISE Rammstein... that isn't real metal. As far as personal faves and influences... I could be here all night... so I'll name the few essentials...PRIEST, MAIDEN, MANOWAR, ACCEPT, SAXON, DESTRUCTION, LIZZY BORDEN. 9. Please send a little message out to your fans around the world! K.J.: We will see you all on the road as we continue our Quest for World Domination! I thank you a lot for taking the time to answer all these questions. Tons of success to you and don't forget to play in Germany some time. Please keep us up to date when the new website will be online. Thank you! Best wishes Susi |
