Imagine instant news feeds, pictures or updates delivered to you when you want. Thats RSS (Really Simple Syndication.)
Imagine never giving out your email address. Imagine unsubscribing whenever you want. That's RSS. SugarBuzz will be incorporating RSS Feeds (at a few users request) for firsthand info on SugarBuzz new stories and information very soon. Our RSS feeds will also deliver SugarBuzz Podcasts. (see below)
To take advantage of RSS you will need a free reader - Rocket Reader The Rocket Reader is a great starter reader and is free. In addition to SugarBuzz feeds, you can subscribe to any feed on the WWW. A reader is a great alternative to a full and unorganized inbox. You can filter your daily info intake to a seperate, organized area you fully control.
RSS seems tricky, until its used. It then makes absolute sense once you're used to it. GET ORGANIZED, GET RSS!
Podcasting
WHAT IS PODCASTING?
Podcasting is a way to receive audio files over the Internet. Many content providers, including SugarBuzz, offer podcast feeds at no cost. These feeds deliver audio broadcasts to your desktop. You can listen to these files on your computer or load them on to your MP3 player and take them with you.
Podcasting is a term. BUT any capable MP3 player can receive a Podcast. To reiterate...PODCASTING IS NOT LIMITED TO IPODS! Your pc can receive a Podcast, any digital MP3 device is just as good.
GET STARTED
All you need to get started is podcasting software. Once you download and install the software, simply add one of SugarBuzz's podcast feeds. The podcasting software will automatically check for updates and download the files to your computer so you can load them onto your MP3 player.
