We got a chance to meet up with Texas Terri at Denny's in Hollywood. No, not that Denny's (by the Freeway) the OTHER Denny's (by the 99 Cent Store).

If you haven't seen a Texas Terri show yet, you've probably already heard of them. Known as 'the female Iggy,' her performances are legendary. "Legend," means you talk about it for days. According to Texas Terri, "There is only one Iggy." Check her out in a Iggy/Stooges tribute band called Luxurious Adults.

"Never Shut Up, Always Want More" is what we get at her website.

Plans for Easter?

"I'm gonna BBQ a Rabbit! (Laughs.) No, I don't really celebrate those kind of things. I mean, I like the candy. I might sleep. I might go rehearse with the Prima Donna Boys."

They'll be your back-up band on your upcoming tour to Europe. You've got a big following there. (Those Euro-weenies have taste! Oui, oui!)

"Yeah! I've been to Europe a couple of times. I was gonna have to find a band to go with me. I went last year for the Wasted Festival and got invited back." (Not too many artists do - this is the exception) "I used some guys from the UK last year. That worked out really good. It's really stressful to get all these people from all over the world to learn your songs.

It's so much for fun to get a band you've been playing with." (We checked Prima Donna out at a recent Dragonfly show, backing up Miss TT. Sharp and sweet. Clean and mean. Very New York Dolls. A perfect match for Texas Terri.)

Now, you call them The Prima Donna Boys, not Prima Donna. There are a couple of bands around with that name.

"That's right, I call 'em The Prima Donna Boys!" I just love Kevin and the rest of the boys. They learned the music so fast. They are great. They are gonna take off soon. So, I'm getting them at a perfect moment."

So in Europe?

"At some shows, not the festival, they will do a 25 minute set and I'll do a 45 minute set with them. I'm insisting on that. I would want the same thing to happen if I was in their position. They are helping me

out. I think that's what great about the music community. We help each other out."

"A fan in Stockholm got me a show and a guy on MySpace got me a show. It's such a great networking tool for musicians. "It's really taken off. I hear Tom, the guy who started MySpace, did a panel at SXSW. Which is really cool."

"Thank God I have my trusty Roadie to the Stars, Ames Evil or Ames Flames. He is the Roadie to the Stars!! Once we get on the road he takes over. He's the best. He's my hero. If anybody's lucky enough to work with him, treat him good. He's gold, gold, gold."

"Last Summer when I was on tour, Cheeta Chrome, guitar player from the Dead Boys did 8 shows with us. I had Ricky Rat from the Trash Rats. Then we went through Richmond, Virginia where Demon Boy is living. So I had three of my favorite guitar players. For me it was a historical moment."

Another one of those historical moments happened to Texas Terri at Hell's Gate, one of Hollywood's most missed night clubs.

"I walked into this club and saw this guy I thought I knew, Bruce Duff, he's in Sweet Justice now. (I have terrible vision) I said 'hey! You're not who I thought you were. He says 'I'm a guitar player' and we ended up working together for six years. His name was Demon Boy. We changed the name of the band to Texas Terri and The Stiff Ones. That was his idea. He was like my Keith Richards. We were like Mick and Keith. We fought all the time but you couldn't beat the chemistry. It's hard to find that. It's like trying to find a girlfriend or boy friend."

"I did my second record. It was really scary. I always had Demon Boy to jump off the cliff with me. We would decide when the songs were ready.

"We were doing four songs of mine, four songs we wrote together and four cover songs. Demon Boy played on my latest record. Which is really great, he gets to play on the songs he co-wrote. A lot of people played on that record, like Wayne Kramer of the MC5, Marc Diamond of Motochrist, Kirt Roxy from Alice Cooper, Cherry Curry did a duet with me on a Thin Lizzy cover and Jack Douglas produced it."

"Jack had to split to produce Aerosmith. My friend John X finished. I couldn't have finished it without him."
